Grassroots Fundraising Network

As a membership organization, Jewish Voice for Peace is almost entirely funded by individuals. We don’t rely on corporations, institutions, or governments to fund our organizing. Like many social justice organizations throughout movement history, we rely on our base of committed members across the country to sustain our work, which allows us to be politically independent, strategic, and principled.  Read more about resourcing JVP’s organizing.

Grassroots fundraising is critical to sustain our organizing for a free Palestine and to end the U.S.-Israel alliance once and for all. The Grassroots Fundraising Network (GFN) is a container where JVP members grow as leaders in this work.  We strive to ground in political education, develop ourselves as fundraisers and organizers, and practice our skills to build relationships with other member-donors so that we can collectively move money and people into the movement for Palestinian liberation.

JVP members can get involved with our grassroots fundraising from anywhere — whether you are organizing within a chapter, pod, or another network, or if you’re looking for a way to support JVP as an individual.

We connect with the broad base of JVP members regularly to connect them with opportunities for political education or to learn about our organizing, to thank them for their past contributions and invite them to give again. By encouraging members to stay organized with us, we grow the power of the movement for Palestinian solidarity.

As a grassroots fundraiser, you’ll be connecting with other JVP members, like-minded people who want to contribute to the movement for a free Palestine. You don’t need to have previous fundraising experience; we’ll support you with training and practice in sharing why you personally support JVP’s mission. As with all organizing, grassroots fundraising requires time, consistency, and dedication to building relationships.
