Dear friends,
When I sat down this time last year to write the opening letter for our Annual Report, I suggested a moment of pause. I asked that you take stock with me of where we stood on this long and enduring journey towards justice. I asked that we all prepare ourselves to move with clarity and stamina, to shore up our movements against the incoming tsunami of repression that we knew was coming.
This year, I’m writing to you from within the crushing wave of that tsunami, they have come for us.
In Trump's America, the Palestine solidarity movement is at the tip of the spear of repression of dissent. And, we know that these escalatory attempts to silence our movements are also a sign of our power.
The forces of war and genocide have all the money in the world. They have Trump, Netanyahu, and everyone who profits from Palestinian suffering. They are counting on our exhaustion.And yet, we have each other. And we have come further together than they want you to believe.
I feel more strongly than ever before the deep contradiction of this moment. On the one hand, we are building and exercising unprecedented grassroots power toward fundamental change in U.S. support for Israeli apartheid and genocide.
And on the other hand, our impact has made us a direct target of the Trump and Netanyahu regimes; as well as some of the largest and most well-funded Zionist organizations and law firms in the US.
Despite this pressure, we've stayed focused on fighting the US-Israeli genocide. And we know that the fights we’ve won in courtrooms, voting booths and city halls for Palestine will allow us to serve a dual purpose on the front lines of the broader fight against fascism.
The journey ahead is long and painful. The genocide is ongoing and has expanded beyond Palestine. The suffering is unrelenting. The forces aligned against us — in this country and around the world — are powerful and they are determined.
Determination is what this moment asks of us. Not despair. Not triumphalism. The tsunami rages on,— and I hope you’ll join me as we continue to hold the line for all of our movements. Because of you, we are stronger than we’ve been before.

The Road to Power
JVP (then called JVP Action) saw the opening to merge solidarity with Palestine, and a mass politics. We began an endorsement cycle that saw us support a record number of candidates. We helped those candidates prove that Palestine is popular — while building our own power to organize and hold those in power to account.
Most notably, JVP (then called JVP Action) was a part of the coalition that helped power Zohran Mamdani's stunning mayoral victory. We built a street team of volunteers who knocked doors, made calls, and proved that Palestinian rights are a winning, working-class issue. We fought against the racist and Islamophobic smear campaigns backed by billionaires and Trump supporters. And we won. Now our coalitions are positioned to both work with — and push— an elected official running one of the biggest cities in the country.

Legislative Advocacy
Over the last year, JVP organizing has moved a historic number of members of Congress to support legislation to block weapons to the Israeli military, and the list keeps growing.
We’re moving elected officials because JVP members in states across the country have organized relentlessly: meeting with Congressional offices, driving calls and emails, finding and pressuring elected officials in public places, and protesting at their offices.

Digital Organizing
JVP’s digital organizing program continues to help thousands of members and others to hold decision-makers to account. That includes university administrations, editors, elected officials, and others in positions of power.
JVP organizers and members also held a virtual Power Half-Hour for Gaza every Monday through Thursday for the last year, providing a space for people from across the world to gather, gain political grounding, and take collective action.
