Passover 5786/2026: Next Year in Safety & Liberation

As you read this, the Pharaohs of our time are carrying out a campaign of mass slaughter and destruction across Palestine, Iran, and Lebanon — claiming to do so in the name of Judaism. In the U.S., the Trump regime exploits Jewish grief to justify crushing anyone who opposes these atrocities.

The story of Passover teaches us that our history is one of standing up to oppression. Today, we fight for the freedom of Palestinians and all people in a time of genocide and fascism. We fight because opposing Pharaohs is a Jewish tradition. We fight because we know our freedom is intertwined with the freedom of all people, from the U.S. to Palestine to Iran. We fight because we must — and because we know in our bones that liberation will come. 

It is by forging solidarity with all people committed to collective liberation that we honor Passover, and it is in this spirit that we dedicate the 5786/2026 Haggadah.

Mimouna 2026: Palestine⁩ Fundraiser hosted by JSWANA Bay

Join JSWANA Bay on April 9, 2026 for Mimouna. This event is a space for Arab Jewish and Muslim communities in the Bay Area to come together and will include music, dancing, ritual, and food. Proceeds will benefit the Middle East Children’s Alliance (MECA).

This anti-Zionist, multi-tendency Haggadah includes offerings from 24 members of the JVP community: ritual leaders, cultural workers, secular Jews, kohenot, and members of the JVP Havurah Network, BIJOCSM Network, and Rabbinical Council.

Spiritual and ritual materials were prepared by the JVP Leadership & Culture Lab. In the JVP version below, we have added ways to take action, in this time of war and ongoing genocide, to invite our friends and family to participate.
