Ten thousand copies of a special supplement of The New York Times focused on Israel and Palestine were distributed across NYC yesterday, while thousands of on-line versions made their way across the internet. The special supplement, which was a parody, includes such articles as “Congress to Debate US Aid to Israel” and “In the Footsteps of Mandela and King: A Non-Violent Movement Gains Ground Ten Years On,” as well as an editorial, “Our New Editorial Policy: Rethinking Israel-Palestine.”
Solidarity with UAW Local 2865
In December 2014, rank-and-file members of Local 2865 of the United Auto Workers voted to support boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) of Israel. With their vote, they honored the call of Palestinian civil society, and joined millions of people the world over who are taking non-violent action to protest Israel’s human rights abuses.

Don’t Pinkwash Apartheid: A Tochecha for the National LGBTQ Task Force
Pinkwashing is an integral part of Israel’s ‘Brand Israel’ public relations strategy, which appeals to racist and colonial notions of Palestinians, Arabs, and Muslims as backwards and intolerant in contrast to the supposedly enlightened Western liberalism of Israel. A simplified notion of ‘gay rights’ has become one of the most effective ways to mark that Western identity, and is used by organizations like A Wider Bridge to build support for the Israeli state, and replace an ongoing history of apartheid, occupation, and settler-colonialism with a feel-good story of liberal tolerance.
