The Jewish Voice for Peace family of organizations has restructured

Washington, D.C. (February 18, 2026) — The Jewish Voice for Peace family of organizations is restructuring. Jewish Voice for Peace Action, the 501(c)(4) entity, is now doing business as Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and will be a membership-based 501(c)(4) social welfare organization, engaging in advocacy and limited electoral-related work. The 501(c)(3), now named the JVP Leadership and Culture Lab (JVP Lab), will continue its long-standing nonpartisan educational and cultural programs.

The overall work and mission of the family of organizations will not change: To change U.S. policy to end the U.S.-endorsed Israeli apartheid. 

As a 501(c)(3), JVP worked for 30 years as an educational and basebuilding organization and contributed to a sea change in public understanding. As a 501(c)(4), JVP will now also engage in legislative and limited electoral-related work, including but not limited to challenging the roles of Democratic and Republican officials and challenging AIPAC. 

Meanwhile, the 501(c)(3) JVP Lab will continue to carry out its educational, cultural, and leadership-development mission, and will continue to provide nonpartisan educational and charitable programs that anyone can participate in, regardless of whether they are a member of the 501(c)(4).

The JVP family of organizations will continue its overarching work as Jews organizing for Palestinian liberation and building a Judaism beyond Zionism.
