Jewish Voice for Peace condemns the Trump administration’s latest attacks on Palestinian human rights organizations.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Monday, September 8, 2025
As the Israeli government continues its genocidal assault on Palestinians, the U.S. State Department has announced sanctions against three Palestinian human rights groups leading the work to end the genocide and hold the Israeli government accountable for war crimes: Al Haq, Al Mezan Center for Human Rights, and the Palestinian Center for Human Rights.
These latest sanctions follow the Trump administration’s designation of another prominent Palestinian human rights organization, Addameer, as well as sanctions against Francesca Albanese, the U.N. Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.
The Trump administration’s authoritarian actions are a full-blown attack on the international human rights community and are intended to silence the global movement for Palestinian rights in order to continue enabling a genocide.
False accusations and arbitrary designations have not — and will not — impede the movement for Palestinian rights, any more than they have other movements throughout history. The movement will not be silenced.
