Support JVP Action’s work to put Palestine at the center of the progressive agenda.

Can you make a year-end contribution to JVP Action, to help us fight back against far-Right attacks and end U.S. arms to Israel?

We’ve arranged to send $18 of your one-time contribution or $3 of your monthly contribution to our sister organization, Jewish Voice for Peace, so that you can be a JVP member.

We have mobilized in unprecedented ways.

In the days after October 7, we could see what was coming: Congress was beating the drums of war, ready to give the Israeli government whatever it said it needed to commit genocide against the over 2 million Palestinians trapped in Gaza.

Together, JVP and JVP Action sprang into action — and we haven’t slowed down since: Taking to the streets in protest, staging historic sit-ins and occupying national landmarks to disrupt business as usual, and flooding our elected officials’ offices with emails and phone calls to demand they stop arming a genocide.

In 13 months, the U.S. Senate went from unanimous support for Israel’s unfolding genocide in Gaza, to a fifth of the senate voting to block billions in weapons to Israel. Arm in arm with Palestinian-led groups, JVP and JVP Action helped build and sustain a movement with one simple message: End Israel’s genocide of Palestinians.

Now, all of that is in jeopardy. Many of Trump’s right-wing allies have specifically named JVP as a target — which is why your support is so critical.

JVP organizes historic protests across the country, expands local organizing

JVP and partner organizations mobilize thousands of Jews of conscience and allies to publicly demand an end to genocide, occupying the rotunda of the Cannon House Office Building on Capitol Hill (twice); taking over Grand Central Station; occupying the Statue of Liberty; shutting down Manhattan Bridge; blocking 8 bridges in 8 cities on the 8th night of Hanukkah; protesting at the headquarters of pro-genocide lobby group AIPAC; shutting down Wall Street; and leading ritual-actions across the country.

At the same time, JVP expands its local and student organizing programs, with dozens of new student and local chapters and pods popping up across the country. Today, there are over 100 local organizing formations, mobilizing in their communities and on their campuses for an end to the genocide.

Top Democrat calls to suspend weapons to Israel.

On April 5, Representative Nancy Pelosi joins a group of her fellow Democrats calling on Biden to suspend weapons to Israel, pending an investigation into an Israeli strike that killed seven World Central Kitchen aid workers. The following month, on May 8, President Biden announces that his administration is pausing a shipment of weapons to Israel.

This is a watershed moment: Because of our movements, what was once an ironclad bipartisan consensus around U.S. support for Israel is beginning to crack.

In NYC, thousands of Jews and allies gather for a mass seder in the streets outside the home of Senator Chuck Schumer, who was simultaneously leading a vote to send billions in additional military funding to Israel. Across the country, from Seattle to Denver to Portland, JVP and allies hold 17 Passover actions to demand that the U.S. government stops arming Israel.

JVP expands its campus organizing program, adds 30 new student chapters

Student encampments demanding divestment from Israeli genocide spread like wildfire across the U.S., springing up on over 100 campuses across the country. Student chapters of Jewish Voice for Peace are involved in at least 47 of those encampments.

Recognizing that campuses are on the frontline of the fight against the Right’s war on freedom of speech, JVP expands its campus organizing program, hiring a Senior Manager of Campus Organizing and a Student Organizer. JVP now has 50 campus chapters, and we’ve driven 50,000 emails to university administrators to demand they protect their students’ fundamental rights.

We met with the offices of over 60 members of Congress to demand an immediate arms embargo on the Israeli government. We’ll be back next year, and the year after that, until Congress delivers an end to U.S. complicity in Israeli apartheid and genocide.

JVP shuts down the Capitol — again

A day before Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to address Congress, JVP leads hundreds of Jews in a second sit-in occupying the rotunda of the Cannon House Office Building on Capitol Hill, to demand an immediate arms embargo on Israel. Around half of Democrats skip Netanyahu’s speech.

JVP Action drives 100k emails to block weapons to Israel

JVP Action drives over 100,000 emails and nearly 40,000 calls to our Senators demanding they support watershed legislation to block billions of dollars in weapons to Israel. Over 1,000 Jews pledge to divest from Israel Bonds

On October 20, JVP launches an individual pledge to divest from Israel Bonds, which help fund Israel’s genocide of Palestinians. In the weeks that follow, over 1,000 American Jews sign on, vowing to divest from Israel bonds and reinvest in Palestinian freedom. At the same time, JVP members are building power in coalitions from Rhode Island to Ohio to Philadelphia, demanding that their local and state governments divest from Israel Bonds.

JVP Action fights back against the far-Right

JVP Action drives over 30,000 emails to our representatives demanding they vote no on H.R. 9495, dangerous legislation that would allow the incoming Trump administration to unilaterally shut down nonprofits it doesn’t like.

With tens of thousands of us taking action across the country, eleven “no” votes from the first time this bill was voted on last spring became one hundred forty-five — and the bill was blocked. The following week, House Republicans brought the bill back. And while that time it passed, we successfully got even more Democrats to oppose it. But that only means our fight continues. Already, JVP Action supporters have written over 4,000 emails to their Senators demanding they block this dangerous bill from becoming law.
