As Grace Paley described her family’s seder, she described “Haggadah makers” as “story tellers, who love history and tradition enough to live in it and therefore by definition be part of its change.”
During Passover, families, friends, and communities come together to read the Haggadah – the story of Exodus. There are infinite interpretations, but we want to lift up those that push us to imagine, commemorate, and recommit to every step of every journey to freedom. For ourselves, and for all people.
This Passover, include an olive on your seder plate as a symbol of the self-determination of the Palestinian people and an invitation to Jewish communities to become allies to Palestinian liberation struggles.
Send a picture of the olive on your seder plate below and help us lift up memory, hope, and justice this Passover.
