Netanyahu speech provides opportunity to question US/Israel Š_…Special RelationshipŠ__

In his controversial speech before a joint session of Congress today, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attempted to undermine US diplomacy with Iran and set the US on a path towards a possible military confrontation with Iran. The speech sparked an unprecedented pushback from Congressional Democrats, and activists working for a just and lasting peace between Israelis and Palestinians.

Jewish Voice for Peace Executive Director Rebecca Vilkomerson: Š__The controversy sparked by Prime Minister NetanyahuŠ__s speech provides an important opportunity to highlight the real problem, the US/Israeli special relationship. Unprecedented financial and diplomatic support from the United States has long enabled Israel to defy international law and commit human rights abuses with impunity. End the Deadly Exchange
