Privacy Policy
Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) is committed to ensuring the privacy of all
our users. This policy governs all pages hosted by JVP. It does not apply
to pages hosted by other organizations, including JVP chapters. We may
be linked to their websites, but they may have different privacy
policies.
What types of information do we collect and store?
The
type and amount of information we receive and store depends on how you use
the website. You can access most of our pages without telling us who you are
and without revealing any personal information. Our web server host collects
anonymous logs during user visits to the website. This information is used to
create aggregate statistics, for example about when our website is accessed,
the pages which refer visitors to our site, the type of web browsers visitors
use and which pages are viewed. These statistics help us understand how our
site is used and provide us with valuable information for improving our site
in the future.
We do not collect personally identifiable information
(such as your name,
address, phone number or e-mail address) on our site
unless you choose to provide it, for example by participating in an online
petition or web
action, signing up to a newsletter or donating online. These
personal
details are kept confidential and are stored securely only for as
long as
needed. The information you provide may occasionally be exchanged
with other like-minded organizations unless you tell us not to in which case
we will not. However, we do encourage you to provide us with this information so that we can send you messages tailored to your area, or for actions specifically sent to your congressional representatives.
1. Online petitions / actions: if you take part in an
online action such as
a petition and express your willingness to receive
further information, we
may share your contact details with a local JVP
chapter or affiliate. It may
then send you information.
2. Payment
Processing: When making an online donation to JVP, your payment details are
processed through a third-party secure server payment.
Your credit card
details will only be retained by our online credit card
processing service,
under its privacy policy. JVP does not have access to your credit card information.
3. E-mail lists: if you join any of our e-mail
lists, you will automatically
receive information from us via
e-mail.
