This year, the United Methodist Church held its General Conference, a meeting that takes place once every four years to make policy decisions for the 11.5 million-member denomination.

The conference took place between April 23 and May 2 in Fort Worth, Texas. To learn more about General Conference, click here.

The General Conference considered a number of resolutions dealing with divestment from Sudan and the Israeli occupation. Here are some of them:

• MFSA Resolution: Promoting Peace through Ethical Investment
  
• General Board of Church and Society Resolution on Divesting from Caterpillar (this resolution has been withdrawn in exchange for dialogue with the corporation. See our statement on CAT and corporate accountability.
  
• Proposed Non-Disciplinary Legislation: Divestment
  
• General Board of Church and Society Resolution on Divesting from Sudan
