Members of JVP-Detroit demonstrate for peace in the Middle East.

Jewish Voice for Peace-Detroit
We are a predominantly Jewish peace group based in the metro-Detroit area, dedicated to supporting the aspirations of Israelis and Palestinians for security,  self-determination and peaceful co-existence. Our activities are focused on events and programs which help to:
  • Provide an alternative Jewish voice, one not often heard:  for peace, equality, democracy, and human rights for all Israelis and all Palestinians, with respect for international law.
  • End the Occupation of the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza.
  • End U.S. military aid to Israel until the Occupation ends.
  • Increase awareness about current conditions in Israel-Palestine and history of the area.
We condemn all acts of violence against civilians, be they Palestinian or Israeli.

Please join us at our next upcoming event:
Daniel Barenboim & Edward Said Emmy award-winning film about the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra of young Israeli and Arab musicians, Knowledge Is the Beginning (part of the Jewish Film Festival); free JVP-Detroit reception in lobby following the film on May 5:
Monday May 5 at 5 p.m. - United Artists Theatre, Commerce Twp.
Monday, May 12 at 2 p.m. - Michigan Theatre, Ann Arbor
